An 82-year-old man was injured and buses were diverted after a crash involving a car and a mobility scooter in Gidea Park.
The collision, which police are treating as an accident, took place at about 11.45am yesterday (Thursday) on Main Road near its junction with Balgores Lane.
Police and an ambulance were called to the scene. The ambulance crew treated the man for minor cuts and bruises before taking him to Queen’s Hospital, Romford.
