A 67-year-old man was found collapsed and unconscious in an Upminster park after an overnight police search.
The man, who suffers from Parkinson’s disease and dementia, was reported missing on Tuesday evening (August 29) by his wife, who stopped police in Corbets Tey Road. The man had gone out for a walk and not returned.
He was eventually tracked down in Parklands Open Space by police helicopter at 5.45am on Wednesday.
An ambulance crew treated him at the scene before taking him to Queen’s Hospital, Romford, as a priority. By this time he was conscious and breathing.
