One man was treated for minor injuries at the roadside after a collision between a lorry and a car on the M25 caused long delays this morning (Monday, July 30).

The entire anti-clockwise carriageway was closed in the wake of the incident, but the road has since reopened, although long delays of around 90 minutes are expected while the traffic levels and congestion return to normal.

A Metropolitan Police spokesman said: “We were called by Essex Police to the Junction 29 area of the M25 this morning to reports of a collision between a lorry and car.
“Essex Ambulance Service were called and the driver of the car, a man, was treated at the scene for minor injuries.

“He is described as walking wounded, and his injuries are not believed to be life threatening or life changing.”
