“Expect the unexpected” must be the thought that goes through every police officer’s mind when they start work.
But spending your morning rescuing a swan from a busy main road is bound to ruffle anyone’s feathers.
Havering MPS’ twitter page has highlighted Pc Kiddle’s achievement of saving the “fine” swan from peril in Harold Wood.
Then to his surprise, another swan was later found causing traffic in Upper Rainham, Hornchurch, which the Havering police wildlife crime officer also caught and it has not gone unnoticed by the twitter community.
Hope he doesn’t regret sticking his beak in.
