Local Elections: Havering’s youngest council candidates

The Residents’ Association is fielding Havering’s youngest election candidate – Adam Elliott – a 19-year- old former politics students at Havering Sixth Form College.
The Harold Wood teenager is running in the Gooshays ward and hopes to engage with the younger generation in the political arena. “It’s sad my generation has a lack of interest in politics. My vote is just as important as someone from my parents’ and grandparents’ generation, yet why don’t we use it?” he said.
Bok Tucker, is the step-son of the leader of the Independent Residents’ Group Cllr Jeff Tucker.
The 20-year-old said he was influenced by his step-father’s politics and wishes to “do what I am told by the people who may elect me”.
The third youngest Havering candidate is Labour’s Sam Gould, 22, who is running for the council in Brooklands ward

He is also running the electoral campaign for the party in Romford.
