Havering has voted to leave the European Union with 70 per cent of voters supporting a Brexit.

The votes have been counted and 96,885 (70 per cent) of the borough’s residents voted to leave the EU while 42,201 (30pc) voted to remain.

The turnout in Havering was 139,175.

There were 89 spoilt ballots.
