Cllr Roger Ramsey, who was elected leader at the full Council meeting yesterday, has announced the new cabinet responsibilities. They are as follows:
-Cabinet Member for Value: Cllr Roger Ramsey
With responsibility for finance, corporate support services, policy, communications
-Cabinet Member for Housing: Cllr Damian White
With responsibility for housing allocation and management
-Cabinet Member for Culture and Community Engagement: Cllr Melvin Wallace
With responsibility for: culture and leisure services, youth services, community engagement, customer services
-Cabinet Member for Regulatory Services and Community Safety: Cllr Osman Dervish
With responsibility for: strategic planning, planning and building control, community safety, public protection
-Cabinet Member for Children and Learning: Cllr Meg Davis
With responsibility for: children’s social services, education
-Cabinet Member for Adult Social Services and Health: Cllr Wendy Brice-Thompson
With responsibility for: adult social services, public health, health partnerships
-Cabinet Member for Environment: Cllr Robert Benham
With responsibility for: regeneration, economic development, StreetCare
