A mum-of-one lost her long battle with cancer this morning while she was surrounded by her family.
Carly Lovett, 31, died after her £5,000-a-month “miracle” drug stopped having any effect on her brain tumour in December.
Her husband, David, wrote on Facebook: “She really was the best person I ever met and she’ll always be remembered for how kind, loving and beautiful she was.
“She was my best friend and I will always love her with all my heart.”
The Recorder featured Carly’s story last summer and an overwhelming response from the readers helped fund the medication which kept her alive to spend so much valuable time with her son, Joshua, who turned one on Christmas Eve.
The campaign raised more than £25,000 to pay for the drug which isn’t available on the NHS.
