There was no Easter rest for Year 7 pupils at Sanders Draper School as they returned to school during the holidays for a writing workshop.
The two-day course helped 20 students aged 11 and 12 at the Hornchurch school with their literacy skills – and gave them the chance to create their own action hero characters.
Head John McEachern said: “We really believe in trying to do the best for our students throughout the year.
“I’m pleased that so many students have taken this opportunity to work with staff who’ve give4n up their holiday so they can achieve their best.”
