Jet car to zoom into Havering College
HAVERING business leaders are being invited to take the fast lane to success when the 1,000mph Bloodhound jet car comes to town.
Havering College of Further and Higher Education is giving the region’s employers the chance to see the replica lifesize model of the car due to make an attempt on the world land speed record in 2012.
The Bloodhound SSC (Super Sonic Car) will be at the Ardleigh Green Campus on Thursday, November 11, as part of national Colleges Week celebrations.
Bloodhound project director and former world land speed record holder Richard Noble OBE will be available for a Q&A, from 12.30pm, at the hour-long roadshow.
Havering College deputy principal Maria Thompson said: “The main purpose in bringing the Bloodhound Project to Havering College is to inspire young people to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering and maths as they will be able to learn about an exciting project that really is at the cutting edge of technology.
