Now investigators from British Transport Police (BTP) have released CCTV images of those they would like to identify following the incident on Monday, November 25.

The 17-year-old victim was assaulted as he returned home from work at around 7.20pm.

His attackers grabbed him by the neck before punching him in the face.

They searched his pockets, stole an iPod from him, before making off from the station.

Det Con Jon Howlett, the investigating officer, said: “This must have been an intimidating experience for the victim, who was alone at the time.

“The images are clear and I’d ask for anyone who witnessed the incident, or recognises the two men to come forward.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact BTP on 0800 40 50 40 quoting reference LNA/B6 of 27/12/2013.

Information can also be passed to the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
