A phone pest has been jailed for six weeks for making threatening calls to a woman soon after a previous order against him had ended.

Ian Foyster, from Myrtle Road, Harold Hill, pleaded guilty to sending electronic communication to Amy Hughes to cause distress or anxiety.

Magistrates at Barkingside jailed him after considering the offence under the 1988 Malicious Communications Act was “so serious because it was committed within six weeks of release” from a previous breach of an order against him, as well as the number of calls and threats he made.
