A friendly puppy abandoned in a park is looking for a new home.

The malnourished dog, possibly a springer spaniel cross, was found tied up in the car park of Eastbrookend Country Park, Dagenham.

He was taken to the council pound, who asked rescue centre Hornchurch Pet Services if they could help re-home him.

Donna Evans, from the centre, said: “It looks like someone abandoned him in the car park which is really sad.

“He’s such a placid and friendly dog and would make a great pet. I hope someone can give him a new home.”
