Hornchurch man who destroyed front door ordered to pay £805

Destroying a front door earned a 23-year-old Hornchurch man a bill for £805.

Ricky Clifton destroyed the door, worth £1,000, in Repulse Close, Collier Row, on June 30.

He pleaded guilty and was ordered to pay £500 compensation, as well as a £200 fine, £85 costs and a £20 victim surcharge.

Clifton appeared at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court on July 26.
