Hornchurch man arrested by police in connection with late night stabbing

A 38-year-old man from Hornchurch is among two men that have been arrested and bailed in connection with a double stabbing.

The man, 38, and a teenage boy were arrested after a stabbing took place in Hutton Road, Shenfield, at about 11.30pm on January 31.

Two victims were stabbed after an alleged altercation in Hollands Bar.

A man in his 30s, sustained a potentially life-threatening stab wound to his chest and was taken to a London hospital.

The second victim suffered a stab wound to the back of the neck and was treated for his injuries.

A spokesman for Essex Police said: “A 17-year-old boy and a 38-year-old man from Hornchurch have been arrested for assault.

“They have been released on police bail to attend the police station on Monday, March 13.”
