A 36-year-old man was jailed for 20 weeks after being found guilty of assaulting a woman and damaging her phone.
Jason Harvey, of Latimer Drive, Hornchurch, beat Lisa Playford in Latimer Drive on February 2, before returning to the address and repeating the offence. He also damaged her Nokia phone.
A restraining order was also imposed that means Harvey must not contact Ms Playford directly or indirectly for five years.
Harvey had failed to comply with a previous order against him.
He was sentenced at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, April 10.
