Two Hornchurch men have been sentenced to community service and must pay compensation for the assault of three men.

Reece Judd, 24, of Hawkinge Way, and Alfie Ryan, 20, of South End Road, assaulted the trio on December 28 in High Street, Hornchurch.

Judd was handed 180 hours of community service and also ordered to pay £70 in compensation to two of his victims, a £60 victim surcharge and £40 costs to the Crown Prosecution Service.

Ryan must do 120 of unpaid work and pay £100 compensation to two of his victims, a victim surcharge of £60 and £45 in costs.

The judge at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court took Judd’s guilty plea into account when he sentenced him on February 17.

The pair pleaded guilty to all three charges of assault by beating on February 6.
