Hundreds of people enjoyed a day of fun on bank holiday Monday and showed off their pretty pooches.

The Romford Greyhound Owners Association (RGOA)– which homes retired racing greyhounds – held the event at Hylands Park, Hornchurch, to raise vital funds.

People enjoyed a range of activities and dog lovers were able to take part in a dog show, where some dressed their pooches in fancy dress.

RGOA member, Graeme Turner said: “The dog show exceeded all expectations. A good time was had by all.”

People who were not able to attend the event yesterday, can look forward to the organisations Woofs and Walkies Dog Show on Sunday, June 4 at Hornchurch Country Park, Squadrons Approach, Hornchurch.

All breeds of dogs are welcome and can be registered from 11am.

The show itself will run between noon and 4pm and will include 15 assorted classes costing £1.50 each to enter.
