Royal Marine Cadets’ pool tests went swimmingly.

Six successful candidates from the Hornchurch and Upminster Sea Cadets swam three lengths at the Chafford School swimming pool, Rainham, in their Marines outfits, and completed six minutes of treading water.

The cadets, aged between 13 and 17, were instructed by Sgt Dan Hodgkin.

The unit, based on Wood Lane, Elm Park, is 70 this year and is calling for past members to help it celebrate.

If you would like to be involved, please contact the cadets on 01708 555 184.
