The Hornchurch and Upminster Sea Cadet unit has been named as Elm Park Florists’ charity of the month.

The unit is set to get a massive boost thanks to customers of the Station Parade shop.

A spokesman for the sea cadets said: “It is always good to have support from local business.

“As a self funded charity we have to provide everything for the unit, equipment for training and the premises to operate from.

“Fundraising is a major part of the committee’s tasks and all help is always much appreciated.”
