HAVERING’S annual service to mark Holocaust Memorial Day will be held on tomorrow (Sunday January 30).
The service, which will take place at the Holocaust Memorial in Coronation Gardens at 2pm, is to remember the victims of the Holocaust and other genocides.
It will be led by Rabbi Lee Sunderland and followed by a reception at Wykeham Hall.
Holocaust survivor Berek Obuchowski will speak about his experiences.
Cllr Michael White, the Leader of Havering Council, said: “Hearing from a survivor following the service will help us to understand what the Holocaust was like.”
