West Ham injury victim Thomas Hitzlsperger is on the way back

WEST HAM midfielder Thomas Hitzlsperger has stepped up his training and is looking to play some part in the away clash with Wolves next week.

The 28-year-old German (left) suffered a thigh injury on his international comeback on the eve of the new Premier League season and has been on the sidelines ever since.

But now it seems that he may be ready for his long-awaited competitive debut in claret and blue at Molineux.

That could signal a switch to a 4-3-3 system with Hitzlsperger joining Mark Noble and Scott Parker in the centre of midfield.
