Help Brian identify mystery man from 1960s Romford

A man from Yorkshire is appealing to keen-eyed Recorder readers to help him identify an old photograph.

Brian Allensby, who lives in Bridlington, inherited the photo along with a collection of others after his wife died. He believes it depicts a man called Keith who was interested in Scottish dancing and represented a pharmaceutical company in Hertfordshire in 1959.

Keith apparently moved to Romford in 1960 and knew people at the Christ’s Hospital boarding school in Hertford. He was 26 years old when the photograph was taken. Written on the back is “April 1960 Keith at Hitchin”.

If you can solve the puzzle, or if you recognise the badge Keith is wearing, please contact the Recorder by calling 020 8477 3878 or e-mailing news.desk@romfordrecorder.co.uk.
