As rain and heavy winds lashed the country over the weekend, one park has found itself with a new lake after the soil became waterlogged.
What used to be a grassy playing field is now more suitable for watersports after the clogged soil in Hylands Park in Osbourne Road, Hornchurch could not drain away the rain water.
More rain is expected to fall over the coming days which will add to the already saturated ground.
Gusts of 80mph were recorded on the south-west coast of England and more floods are expected in that area.
The Met Office has issued 16 severe flood warnings but none of these affect Havering.
