A man was arrested on suspicion of assaulting a police officer in Rush Green this morning (Wednesday).
Police were called to reports of a disturbance at the junction of Dagenham Road and Rush Green Road at 6.45am.
Barking and Dagenham police, who attended with Havering officers, tweeted to say a female officer had been punched in the face.
One man was arrested on suspicion of assault and assault of a police officer.
