Young people from across the borough will get the chance to raise issues that matter to them during a debate tomorrow.
Now in its sixth year, Havering Asks will be broadcast live, with the format modelled on the BBC’s Question Time,
The Havering College event will be chaired by BBC World Service broadcaster Fred Dove at the campus in Ardleigh Green Road, Ardleigh Green.
Students will put a range of questions to panellists from across the political spectrum between 2.30pm and 3.30pm.
Guests will include Labour’s Ilford South MP Mike Gapes, Conservative peer Lord Edward Faulks QC, former child migrant Gulwali Passarlay from Afghanistan and co-chair of the Young Greens, Hannah Clare.
An audience of 150 young people is expected.
The event will be streamed live to screens across all Havering College campus sites and on the internet at havering-college.ac.uk/havering-asks.
