Residents are set to see more bins in the borough.

Havering Council will be placing 100 new bins throughout the borough as part of the Cleaner Havering Campaign.

Cllr Barry Tebbutt, Cabinet Member for Environment said: “I hope these bins will encourage those few people who just drop rubbish wherever they feel, to act a little more responsibly. There really is no excuse for people who don’t respect the environment they live in.”

Earlier this year, Havering Council surveyed residents in the Spring Clean Survey and they responded by telling us that dog fouling, litter and vandalism were issues that affected them.

In response to this the council launched the Cleaner Havering Campaign, designed to respond to these issues, and earmarked 250,000 to address residents’ concerns.
