The borough's NHS trust is inviting residents to attend its annual general meeting next week.

Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust (BHRUT), which runs Queen’s Hospital, Romford, will hold the meeting on Wednesday, July 4, for residents to attend.

The meeting will be held at King George Hospital in Goodmays from 2.30pm with a market place in the Yoo! Restaurant, made up of stands run by a range of teams across the hospitals, sharing information about their work.

Light refreshments will be provided.

In a special event to mark the 25th anniversary of King George Hospital, there will also be a Birthday Cake Bake Off.

Staff across the trust have been invited to bake their own cakes, with a celebrity judge and local MPs choosing the winning cake.

The meeting begins at 3.15pm and includes presentations about some key achievements over the last year.
