RESIDENTS are being urged to part with some of their old toys to help fight heart disease and save lives in the run up to Christmas.
Furniture Village in Gallows Corner, Romford is appealing for people’s unwanted good quality toys, games, books, computer games and DVDs for the British Heart Foundation.
A spokesman for Furniture Village said: “We are proud to be part of such a positive and exciting campaign and it is a joy to be able to directly contribute to the pioneering research of the British Heart Foundation in this way.
“In the run up to Christmas, when so many of us can get busy and distracted, this is a happy, fun and effective way to do something for others.”
The goods will then be collected by the British Heart Foundation where they will then be taken to one of the charity’s high street shops and sold to raise money.
As an added incentive, visitors to Furniture Village are also invited to enter a competition offering the chance to win a Caribbean family holiday and other prizes.
