Police are investigating two cases of phone snatching that took place in Havering over the weekend.
On Saturday (October 6) at 4.30pm, a 25-year-old man was talking on his iPhone in Wingletye Lane, Hornchurch.
A young man approached him, grabbed the phone and ran off. Police described the suspect as a black male aged between 16 and 18 of about 5’3”.
And at 9pm on Sunday (October 7) on Upminster Road North, near Rainham Cemetery, a 17-year-old was talking on his Blackberry when two men, described by police as black males aged both approximately 18, threatened him and forced him to hand it over.
