Parents celebrated a support group’s 60th birthday last week with a tea party.

Members of the Havering branch of the National Childbirth Trust (NCT) enjoyed the diamond jubilee themed celebration at the Romford Baptist Church, Main Road, Romford.

The Mayor of Havering, Cllr Brian Eagling, attended along with families who enjoyed a sing-a-long, face painting, art and crafts and delicious tasting treats.

Support coordinator, Ann Pickering, said: “A big thank you to all for supporting our amazing charity.

“NCT was created in 1956 with the aim that all new and expectant parents should be supported and this remains the heart of what we do today.”

NCT aims to support parents through the first 1,000 days of parenthood. For more information visit nct.org.uk.
