A number of egg-citing events are set to take place in Romford town centre over the Easter weekend.

The markets team at Havering Borough Council have organised a range of free activities in Romford Market Place on Saturday, March 31.

Families will be able to meet the Easter Bunny, take part in an Easter egg hunt and can go and watch a traditional Punch and Judy show.

Other activities taking place in the town centre include the Easter Egg-stravaganza at The Mercury shopping centre.

The yearly two day event will take place on Good Friday (March 30) and Easter Saturday (March 31) from 10am-4pm.

There will be face painting, the opportunity to have your photo taken with the Easter Bunny for your own Easter card, and a hunt to find chicks to exchange for an Easter egg.

Each event costs £2, or all three cost £5 with all proceeds going to the Saint Francis Hospice and children’s charity First Step.
