Havering residents are being urged to come out in droves this Saturday to celebrate Armed Forces Day 2018 with the council.

On Monday, June 25, Havering Mayor Councillor Dilip Patel was joined by children from Parklands Junior School, the leader of the council Cllr Damien White and a number of other councillors to officially raise the Armed Forces Day flag above Havering Town Hall in Main Road, Romford.

A Havering Council spokesman said: “We will be celebrating the day this Saturday (30 June) at our Armed Forces Day event.

“The event includes a parade, starting 10.30am from South Street and finishing up at Tollgate House.

“A street party at Romford Market for all the family will be running from 10am-4pm, with free face painting, a free mini funfair, and music from a Time 107.5FM DJ.”

With the weather looking like it is going to be a scorcher, this is one event not to be missed.
