After apologising for the lack of recycling bags available last week - the council now says supplies have been replenished.
Residents in the last few weeks have been quick to complain about deliveries of sacks and shortages at pick-up points in the borough.
While Havering Council claim there has been “no disruption” to home deliveries, it has acknowledged a “short-term supply issue” with top-up rolls.
Cllr Osman Dervish, cabinet member for Environment said: “There has been no disruption to home deliveries of orange sacks for household recycling. “Every home in our borough receives a free roll of sacks every 13 weeks.
“Unfortunately we did have a short-term supply issue with these top-up rolls earlier this month but that has now been addressed and stocks are available in all the usual locations again.
“We want to encourage recycling but even more important is minimising the amount of household waste produced.”
The council say it spends £14m on waste disposal annually and wants people to do their bit to help reduce costs.
“Typically more than a third of household waste can be composted,” Cllr Dervish said.
“This isn’t just vegetable peelings and garden waste but all sorts of other packaging and paper that otherwise ends up in black or orange sacks. “Around 40 per cent of all waste we collect is food waste so if residents throw less away they will save themselves money, create less waste and help us reduce the £14m we spend on waste disposal annually.”
Householders in the borough are encouraged to use top-up supplies whenever they run short of bags from deliveries.
Pick-up points in the borough include all the libraries, the PASC in the Liberty Shopping Centre and the Town Hall in Main Road, Romford.
Anyone who believes they have missed a delivery is asked to call 0800 389 9918.
