A Hornchurch college gained recognition from a national institution for one of its courses.
The Institution of Mechanical Engineers – part of the Engineering Council – has formally accredited the EngTech apprenticeship scheme at Havering College, Ardleigh Green Road – and marked the occasion with a special presentation last Friday (September 21).
The institution’s president Professor Isobel Pollock handed college principal Maria Thompson a certificate as technology heads from local schools and apprentices from Essex-based technology firm e2v looked on.
