A hardy group of Hornchurch joggers took to the streets to raise nearly 400 for needy youngsters.
In the week leading up to Christmas, Havering 90 Joggers – based at the Harrow Lodge sports centre – made a concerted effort to collect cash for the First Step children’s charity.
And on Sunday, December 23, a group of its runners proved it isn’t just reindeer that keep Santa swift – by donning sporty Father Christmas outfits and asking members of the public around Hornchurch and Upminster for donations.
First Step supports Havering families caring for young children with special needs.
