A Harold Hill vicar was invited to lunch with the Queen in celebration of her Diamond Jubilee.
Rev Russell Moul, of St Paul’s Church, received an invitation from the Lord Great Chamberlain’s office to represent the community and Drapers’ Academy, where he is a governor.
He joined 700 guests for the event in the Great Hall at the Palace of Westminster.
He said: “It is not every day you get an invitation to attend lunch with the Queen and, while I was personally delighted at this, I felt very proud that Drapers’ Academy and Harold Hill were being represented at this historic occasion.”
Rev Moul has gone on to share his experiences of the lunch at local primary school assemblies.
