A Harold Hill pensioner accused of repeatedly raping a woman 17 years ago is facing years behind bars today (Monday).
John Whiddett, 73, admitted attacking the victim at least seven times between 1995 and 1996.
He also accepted sexually assaulting the same woman three times in July and August last year.
Whiddett, of Haydon Close, appeared at the Old Bailey to plead guilty to seven counts of rape and three counts of sexual assault.
He will be sentenced on September 21 this year.
