Harold Hill man charged with robbery at a number of Co-op stores

A 28-year-old man has been charged with a series of robberies at Co-op stores in Essex.

Danny Wrenn, from Saddleworth Road, Harold Hill, was arrested on Sunday, April 8, in connection with the investigation and has been charged with a number of robbery and weapons offences.

He has been charged with robbery at TN News in Chelmsford on April 3, as well as robberies at Co-op’s in Billericay, Silver End, Clacton, as well as an attempted robbery at a Co-op in Ipswich between April 2 - 5.

He has also been charged with robbery at a Premier Store in Colchester on April 5 and an attempted robbery at Appans Superstore in Benfleet on March 30.

As well these incidents, Wrenn has been charged with seven counts of possession of a knife or bladed article in a public place and one count of possession of cannabis with intent to supply.

He is due to appear at Colchester Magistrates’ Court today, Tuesday, April 10.
