A football match will raise money for the aftercare following an eight-year-old girl’s operation.

The match will be between the Arsenal Charity Football Team and Amber Lilly United at Billericay Town Football Club, Blunts Wall Road, Billericay, on July 24 at 11am.

Tickets for adults cost £5 and £2 for children under 16.

Money will go towards the aftercare for Amber Lilly, of Harold Hill, who has cerebral palsy, following a selective dorsal rhizotomy (SDR).

The procedure could alleviate the stiffness in her muscles, which could potentially lead to her walking independently.

The NHS no longer funded SDR from March.
