A hotel in Romford’s town centre is set for lights, camera and action as it plans to welcome the world’s largest media group.
The national Chinese media will be sending 180 representatives to stay at Harefield Manor in Main Road in the summer – but owner Paul Harris said the hotel had already received its first Olympic guests, the Brazilian women’s handball team.
“It was absolutely fantastic,” he told the Recorder. “They were really nice.
“They had a special diet,” he added. “Carbohydrates for lunch and protein for dinner. We got through 68 bananas a day.”
