A hairdresser put on a Christmas show of traditional carols and musical theatre number to raise money for St Francis Hospice.
Matthew Capp’s graddad and aunt both received care at the hospice so Matthew aimed to raise money to support its work.
He staged a production in Grays on December 9 which raised 1,631 from ticket sales and a raffle of 73 prizes.
He said: “It was a complete sell-out with more than 220 tickets sold. We started rehearsals in October and were absolutely worn out by the end but it was so worth it and I’m already thinking of putting on a show with Motown numbers next year.”
