Two “good Samaritans” gave chase after a man snatched a phone in Romford.
The victim, a 47-year-old woman, was walking in Angel Way at about 8.15pm on Friday, December 21.
As she was using her phone, two people approached her. One, a man who was about 5’6”, punched her in the face, grabbed the phone and ran off.
But two members of the public chased the robber down and recovered the phone, which they returned to the woman.
