Nikki Bearman, 21, said she is grateful for their “kind words” and “generosity” after Ronnie was involved in a collision with a lorry on the Essex-bound stretch of the road, near to the Brook Street roundabout in Harold Wood.

He had been a passenger in an Essential Water Services van.

Nikki, who is pregnant with Ronnie’s child, said: “Thank you to everybody for your lovely, kind words and generosity towards myself and mine and Ronnie’s families and also the donations for little Ronnie too.

“It really does mean more than you’ll ever know.”

Ronnie was pronounced dead at the scene by London Ambulance Service paramedics.

The driver of the lorry was taken to hospital but did not have life-threatening injuries.

Flowers and messages have since been left at the scene.

Nikki said: “He may be gone but never ever will he be forgotten.

“There will always be a part of me that’s missing but he has left me with the best memories of my life.”

Havering police are still appealing for witnesses to come forward.

Det Sgt Cheryl Frost, of the serious collision investigation unit at Alperton Traffic Garage, said: “I am appealing to anyone who witnessed this collision or the events leading up to it to speak to the police.”

Anyone with information is urged to call the witness appeal line on 020 8991 9555. Officers are continuing their enquiries and there have been no arrests.
