A 16-year-old girl suffered minor injuries when she was hit by a bus outside Romford station this afternoon.

The London Ambulance Service was called to South Street at 4.25pm, sending one ambulance crew, a single responder in a car and a duty officer.

The girl was treated for a minor cut on her head before being taken to Queen’s Hospital.

Traffic was put on diversion after the accident, but bus routes are now returning to normal.
