Histrionics were in plentiful supply at the Sanders Draper School results day thanks to Blu Corsby.
Blu, a pivotal member of the Hornchurch school’s performing arts community, achieved five As, three Bs and two Cs.
He said he went into Year 10 with some idea of what was to come over the next two years leading up to his exams. This was because he had already seen his sister sit her GCSEs, but despite being prepared, he found the experience exhausting.
He said: “A lot of students come into Year 10 thinking GCSEs are going to be a doddle and they’re really not. The government’s making it a lot harder for us to get A*s – I didn’t get any, but I tried my hardest.
“But you’re most likely going to do very well if you put in the work, and I feel I’ve done very well. Well done me!”
