Identical twins Collette and Zoe Meades are used to sharing and their results day was no exception.

The Frances Bardsley Academy siblings celebrated their success together, with Collette achieving an A* and seven As, and Zoe three As and six Bs.

Despite choosing the same A-levels in typical twin fashion, this September the girls will be taking their first steps away from each other in 16 years.

They will study geography, PE, psychology and sociology, but Collette, who wants to be a teacher, will stay at the school’s sixth form. Zoe, who wants to be a police officer, will be heading off to Havering Sixth Form College.

Collette said: “My sister and I are close and it was good to have someone with me who I could revise with.”

Zoe added: “I’m scared about going somewhere different from my sister, it will be hard, but I don’t mind change.”
