How’s your general knowledge? Can you name the monarchs of England, Grand National winners or Christmas number ones?

Then enter a team in the Recorder’s pub quiz and raise money for First Step while competing to win a top prize.

The event, for our Fundraise on the First campaign with the charity, will take place at The George II, in High Street, Hornchurch, on June 18.

Teams of up to eight can register for a table to stand a chance of being named the borough’s biggest brains.

Recorder editor Chris Carter said: “This is a fantastic opportunity to have some fun while raising money for our Fundraise on the First campaign.

“We look forward to welcoming teams from offices, clubs and neighbourhoods to compete against each other.”

The event will begin at 7.30pm with questions from 8pm.

A raffle will also be held to keep you entertained between the questions, which will be asked by question master Sam Wickens of Quizmaster Triva UK [quizmastertrivia.co.uk].

Entrance is £40 for a table of up to eight people. To register your interest in a table, email emma.lake@archant.co.uk by June 12.
