Our baking contest and cake sale for Fundraise on the First saw employees pit their culinary skills against each other this afternoon.

Judge Michelle Mitchell, the charity’s fundraising manager, crowned Gill Rosenthal’s lemon drizzle cake the winner, saying it was “like heaven”.

Amy Fuller took second prize with her carrot cake, while Linda Evans Packham was third with her chocolate creation.

Every staff member paid £2 for unlimited cake and the sale has raised a total of £80.79 so far.
