More than 750 people turned out for a fun-packed Bank Holiday Monday.

At Stubbers Adventure Centre, Ockendon Road, Upminster, the Adventure Festival included archery, go-karting, banana boat rides and laser tag.

Ben Woodcock, area manager at the adventure centre, said the festival was a roaring success.

He said: “It went really well and everyone had a lot of fun.

“We were pleased to see so many people enjoying themselves and taking part.

“There was a wide range of activities on offer, including quad biking and 4x4 driving.

“We wanted to show people the range of activities available at the adventure centre, and that it’s not only for kids.”

“Luckily the weather held off.

“It’s our 25th year of being open so it was great to celebrate it with a big crowd.

“Last year, we had just under 500 people visit so there was a big increase this year.”

As well as the strenuous outdoor activities, there was a petting zoo and a children’s soft play area.
